"Liberty ODBC - MultiValue Data in Windows"

Janet Bond, General Manager and original investor of Liberty Integration
Consultants presents: Liberty ODBC Driver for PICK and Liberty Web
Publisher for PICK.

ODBC is the Microsoft supported, industry standard, which defines the
method by which Windows tools can access data from a variety of database
management systems .  The Liberty ODBC Driver implements Open Database Connectivity for MultiValue databases.  The vision of ODBC is that you should be able to choose an ODBC-aware Windows tool off the shelf, install it on your Windows PC, and immediately be able to seamlessly and transparently work with ODBC-enabled databases.

ODBC is a way of abstracting the database from the Windows tools.  The
common term for interfaces such as this is Application Programming
Interfaces (API's).  The beauty of the abstraction is that the Windows tool
just has to "speak ODBC" to the ODBC Driver Manager with in Windows, and it can read/write from structure where the client (Window's PC) and server
MultiValue (PICK DBMS) are both doing what they do best.  The client box is
handling the graphical user interface, sending language events and data to
the server, and receiving the results of the language events back from the
server.  The server, on the other hand, is storing/retrieving data,
monitoring security, and enforcing business rules.

Liberty ODBC driver for PICK is available for PICK and PICK-like databases
including Advanced PICK, Universe, Unidata, Reality/X, Ultimate, Ult-Plus,
ADDS Mentor, ADDS MOE, PI/Open, Sequoia OA PICK and others.

The Liberty Web Publisher offers MultiValue (PICK) database users a fast,
easy way to create interactive Web applications without compromising the
security of their data.  No C programming knowledge, complex string
handling or off-line debugging is required.

WordMark is the Exclusive North American Distributor of Liberty ODBC, Liberty WEB Publisher and Liberty Connection Manager (800) 835-2400.
